Biology and distribution

A fairly common species everywhere in Guadeloupe and Martinique (type specimen of M. russaris).
St-Martin.

St-Kitts, Montserrat, Dominica, St-Lucia, St-Vincent, Grenada.
Throughout the Greater Antilles (Cuba, type specimens of M. parcicolor and M. rectifascia ; Hispaniola, type specimens of M. januaris, M. excavans and M. subtilis).

Florida, and from Mexico to Paraguay.
