Biology and distribution

Polyphagous larva, frequently found on vegetable crops.

Very rare in Guadeloupe, leeward coast.
Marie-Galante.

St-Kitts, Dominica.
Cuba, Dominican Republic (type specimen of S. variolosa).

North and Central America (Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica).
