[R] Having a complete life cycle. Refers to those aphids which alternate parthenogenetic with sexual reproduction, thus starting another cycle by laying winter eggs.
Anholocyclic species have an incomplete life cycle. Certain aphids, e.g. the peach-potato aphid
(Myzus persicae), follow one or the other(*) , depending on climatic conditions.
