Siphunculi


[R] Paired dorsal tubes on the abdomen of aphids and characteristic of this family; absent in certain genera (e.g. Eriosoma). The waxy secretions they produce act as alarm pheromones or serve as covering materials.
Also called "honey tubes" or cornicles.
