Educational background: PhD or equivalent. Candidates should have a good command of English. The successful candidates who have not yet acquired postdoctoral training will be required to do so, preferably abroad, after their probationary period (1st year) and before being eligible for promotion to an Experienced Research Scientist position (CR1).

 

Object of research and skills: Research in the field of animal health economics encompasses issues of interest to public and private stakeholders. The research topics address the impact of diseases at different scales (farm, markets/sectors, territories), collective risk management strategies, and the behaviour of stakeholders towards risks. The research field is large. It can be part of agricultural production economics under uncertainty conditions. Scientific issues also address epidemiology and the efficiency of public or private collective risk management policies. Skills in microeconomics of agricultural production are wanted, as well as in market economics, value chain economics or public economics. Experience in modelling will be appreciated.
